PEOPLE WHO ACTIVELY DENOUNCE ANIMAL ETHICS

This prof. for philosophy has a big problem with ethical vegetarianism. She sees a contradiction between a womans healthy self esteem and a positive outlook on animals and nature. I assume she belongs to those type of people who think that nature is there to serve human interests. Anyway, you might wanna have a look and get an impression, here:

What I wonder is, on what philosophical basis can somebody be opposed to any progress that humans can make ethically? On the basis of "humanity"? Screw such a "humanity" really!!
